Conclusion: She is sacrificing her party in son infatuation.

Sonia Gandhi is currently the biggest leader of the Indian National Congress and also the most powerful woman in Indian politics. She is a Lok Sabha MP from Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh which has been a Congress stronghold for a long time. She grew up in Italy and later settled in India after marrying the Prime Minister, late Sh. Rajiv Gandhi.

Although she never initially showed interest in joining politics. But long after the death of Rajiv Gandhi, when the political upheaval in the Congress continued and there was a lack of a strong leadership, she had to enter politics under compulsion. She thus saved the Congress from disintegration. Notwithstanding the political background, she handled the command of the party very well and stood in opposition to the late Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee's government.

After the Congress emerged as the largest party in the Lok Sabha elections in 2004, she was considered to be the Prime Ministerial candidate, but she refused to become the Prime Minister after very strong opposition from the opposition, especially the Bhartiya Janata Party ... (BJP), thus she proposed the name of Dr. Manmohan Singh. Her decision brought her great fame globally. After all, in the world's largest democracy, leaving the post of Prime Minister is a very big thing. But since 2004, Sonia Gandhi has been in constant controversy. She continue to accuse that she is running the government more than Dr. Singh and Singh is acting only on her behest. In the meantime, she also brings her son Rahul Gandhi into the politics, but he does not remain active in politics in that strong way. It is clear that she is spoiling the balance of the party in son infatuation and Rahul Gandhi is not meeting her expectations at any cost. But perhaps she is well aware that if the party's power goes outside the Gandhi family, then there will be an increase in the possibility of a big break in the party. She is afraid to repeat the 90s incident again. But even by not doing so, she has seen the disintegration of the big leaders under the leadership of her son. Due to this duality, there is no such thing as strong opposition at the center. That is why it is better that she should soon find an exact solution to both these problems, so that in future the Congress Party can be saved and the monopoly of only one party at the center can be continuously challenged. More recently, due to her declining leadership ability, no reduction in son’s love over party and the scandals of the party government headed by her for several consecutive years, she can be given only 3 stars.
